Hello lovelies. It's that time of the month again and I have a few things to share with you! I've just noticed this monthly favourites doesn't contain any make up... Here's the truth. I haven't wore much make up this month. It's been so sunny and wonderfully summery that I didn't want to. I just wanted to experience summer without the bother of make up, so I could feel the summer breeze on my skin. However due to not wearing make up I have been taking very good care of my skin (so I don't look awful all the time). This month has honestly changed my skin and how I understand skincare. I now LOVE taking care of my skin whereas before it was always a chore to me.

Tommy Hilfiger Flip Flops
The. Comfiest. Shoes. Ever. They are like clouds for your feet. Thanks to Nicola for these beautiful shoes! I haven't taken them off all month. I pretty much wear them everywhere which is great for summer because it allows your feet to breathe. And they're pretty. And did I mention they were comfortable?

Body Shop Raspberry Scrub
This is weird. It's like your rubbing raspberry jam all over yourself in the shower only you get a good scrub from it too. It smells like jam. Looks like jam. Feels like jam. Tastes like jam (jk, I didn't eat it... yet...). But omg this stuff is awesome! My skin feels ridiculously soft after using this aaaaand I get to smell fantastic too. I especially like using this before fake tanning- makes it a dream!

Clinique Daily Moisturiser
Like I said, my skin care had a revamp and this has played a key role. I use this morning and night even thought it's formulated to be used in the day. This is just a really great all around moisturiser with SPF. A great one if you are just starting out with skincare!

Kereskin Serum
I had this mini in a GlossyBox and it's been great this month. It's all gone now because I've been taking it everywhere with me this month. I thought that it was just a very good moisturising serum, but apparently it makes your skin brighten and tighten. After using this my skin always felt strangely new a plump- but I've loved it!

Baby Lips Lipbalm in Peach
I've had this lipbalm for a while now but I haven't used it much because it may as well just be a clear lip balm There is no tint fyi, however it smells incredible and is a great base for lipstick. Score.

Diesel Fuel For Life
This was a little purchase from Portugal. I've had this perfume before many moons ago and so it's a very nostalgic scent for me. It's also quite strong and very much a night time scent I think. I'm bad with perfumes so I think if you want to know what it smells like I suggest you go give it a wiff for yourselves, but I love it.

Sorted Food App
Last but not least, Sorted Food (YouTube) have launched an app! I've spent far too much time on this already scouring for recipes and looking through photos. It's like instagram for food, but with recipes. How amazing is that? Go check it out!

Solait Facial Tan
I am loving this stuff. Recently it's been way too hot to slather on piles of foundation and so this is just perfect. It gives you this beautiful glow, obviously it tans too but it's not so much that it looks 'dirty' haha. It's very natural whilst giving you this beautifully bronzed highlight-y wonder. I use this as a base for the rest of my make up. This is going to be my summer love.


Emite Make Up Brush
I only own two Emite products both I've discovered from Glossybox. I have a single eye shadow in the colour NECT and then this brush. I've used this brush every single day this month- no joke. I tend to use it to fill in my eyebrows but I also love this for applying eye shadow as eyeliner because it is so easy to use and it's great for giving you a very precise flick. Their products seem to be great quality and I think sooner or later their going to be a very big brand!


Maybelline Colour Sensational Gloss in Glorious Grapefruit
I've already done a post on this beauty (click here) so I won't ramble too much I love this lipgloss and like the brush, I've used this A LOT this month.

Looking for Alaska
I loved this book. John Green's famous The Fault in Our Stars really did well (I mean making it into a movie, it must have been amazing) and I really did enjoy it. Then I read this book and I loved it even more. Absolutely great story and I cannot believe how much I connected with this book. It seriously affected me haha.

Salads
I have been really enjoying my salads recently, but only the way I make them. I like to add potato and quinoa to make them very very filling. Also, I'm loving the honey and mustard dressing from M&S, just ommmmmg. It tastes so yummy. I've been eating them like every day for lunch by making one big batch to last for 3 days. Sorry for the blurry picture!


Exercising
I am not an exercise freak. I like to walk, run (every now and again), do some pilates and zumba. I don't so much 'work out' I just enjoy to do them sort of when I can. I especially like zumba and pilates because after them I am exhausted yet completely satisfied. I've been trying hard to exercise more recently, and yeah, I'm enjoying it!


Pinterest
I must have mentioned pinterest in a favourites before. I love this site, it's just so inspiring and a great place to store all my ideas. It's great for organising too. You just really need to try it, it's amazing. I am slowly going to convert everyone I know into a pinterest addict one day...

Orange is The New Black Season 2
Last but certainly not least, an amazing, amazing tv series. The first series was great, this one was just incredible. It's so easy to watch, it's really funny and so so captivating even though an episode could be over like a toothbrush or something. It's just great. I took the 'which character are you' quiz and turns out I'm Piper, which I am highly unsatisfied with. Why couldn't I have been Red?

Real Techniques Stippling Brush
I purchased this brush at the beginning of the month (click here to see the haul) and I absolutely love it. I've heard great things about it from many a' beauty blogger and I'm very impressed with it. It's definitely a summer foundation brush (in that it gives a lighter coverage) but it's what I'm loving at the moment. It's so soft and works very well with my next favourite...

 
Wake Me Up Foundation
I forgot how much I used to love this foundation. For a start, it's the perfect colour for  my skin tone, and most importantly it makes you look, well, radiant. Absolutely 'oh look at me doesn't my skin look perfect'. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this foundation and I'll be repurchasing it again as soon as I run out!



Beauty Blender
This is great for after you've applied foundation and you don't have time (or you're too lazy) to blend out all the lines of foundation. It takes me two seconds to dab this over my face and my foundation is like perfect. Definitely a purchase for us lazy girls!



Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet
So... Bold lip colour... Matte... Feels like lipstick... Totally layer-able (is that a word?)... Lasts all day (without reapplying)... Doesn't even come off when drinking out of a glass. No, it's not a dream. Yes, these are real. These are the best liquid lipsticks ever. When I go out for the evening (and I want a great bold look) I've been applying one of these and then not even bothering bringing it with me. That's how brilliantly long lasting they are. The only thing I'll say is that you sort of have to wait for them to set before they become totally amazing. Buy one now haha.

Naked Basics
I wanted to have a neutral palette that was great for travelling. I have quite a few plans over the summer and I needed something practical yet beautiful! I've been testing this out this month and loving it. Faint (perfect eyebrow colour for me) and Venus (amazing highlight) are my favourite and I'll be definitely taking this with me on my travels.


Tangle Teezer
I cannot believe it has taken me this long to get my hands on a tangle teezer. I've used this pretty much everyday for the whole month. It's great because it doesn't damage your hair as much as a normal hairbrush and it doesn't hurt as much do get rid of knots!


Hash Browns
Look, I've had exams. They've been stressful and I became lazy in making food and also craving carbs to keep me awake. These have been my comfort through exams and have served me well! But now it's back on the salads and endless amounts of fruit...

Isn't it strange how fast this year is going? I mean- goodbye April and hello May??? Where is the time going? April, has felt like a really long month, and to be honest not a great one for new discoveries for me, although I do have a few! Here they are:

Water
I haven't been well this past week (and I know a week isn't the entirety of this month but y'know), water has been my best friend. I think I really do need to drink a lot more water, and whilst I drink a lot of tea it's not really the same haha. I've found myself not drinking too many fizzy drinks this month which is good, maybe I'm prepping myself for summer? haha.

Stila Stay All Day Eye Liner in Black
I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before or not but this is the best liquid liner I've ever used. In fact I'd go as far as saying it's my favourite eye liner. Woah, I know- cool down Jess. It's really precise, very black and really long lasting, what more do you need from an eye liner? Well I suppose it needs to easily come off with make up remover but it does that too! It's been a firm favourite of the year so far, not just April!

Tony & Guy Flyaway Stick It Up Gum
I have a bit of a problem with frizz, specifically flyaways. I had this little thing in my march glossybox I think. At first I thought it was a bit weird, it's a kind of waxy gel consistency and really white which looked a bit scary. It's a bit sticky in the palm of your hand and you only need the tinniest little bit of it. Rub it together in your palm first, then apply it to the flyaways and finally gently brush through it. I was amazed at how well my flyaways stayed away! My hair just looked lovely and sleek all day long- woo!

Treseme Keratin Smooth Mask
I am very excited about this lovely find. When I came home from uni I saw this bad boy perched on my bath corner calling my name. I thought that it would be best to test it immediately since me and my hair had been having a fall out that day. Oh my lord. I will probably have to post a full review of this soon -but I was soooo impressed with this mask! My hair felt incredible! It looked smooth and full of richness and UNdamaged!? I'm officially in love! Look out for the review coming soon!

Pink Brandy from Maxfactor
Even though in the past couple of days I have developed a cold sore -boo! I've been loving this lipstick. It's a coral, pink, red, and it's perfect for this time of year. And because of the mix of colours it tends to go well with a lot of things. It's a matte lipstick but its easy enough to layer with a gloss and it stays for quite a long time without looking flaky. I've had this for about a year now too and it hasn't dried up.

Jakey Jake
I've been trying to widen my reading horizons over the past couple of months, beauty is still cool but I kinda want to learn about other stuff to y'know? I've been reading a new blog latey (click here), and whilst I don't really know much about sports I'm loving the posts about film. I wouldn't say I'm a huge film buff, but I do love a good movie and it's actually really interesting to see what other people have to say about them. The posts are written really well and I've really enjoy reading them- so go check it out people!

Hello October
My YouTube favourite this month is definitely Hello October. I've read her blog for ages, and have only now discovered she has a YouTube channel- where have I been? I've pretty much gone back and watched all her videos (oops) and particularly enjoyed her tattoo tag. She's just really cool and funny, a definite favourite of mine now! (channel linked here)
